Born and raised in the beautiful county of Northamptonshire, married to Ian and currently living in Kettering with our cat, Frazzle. I work full-time as a Contracts Administrator for a Plant Hire/Construction company based in my home town of Wellingborough.
Photography has always been a passion of mine, however during a period of ill health back in 2013 I found photography gave me something else to focus on, no pun intended, and I started to take it more seriously, therefore I never left home without some kind of camera. During this time I wanted to learn more and improve my skills. I progressed from a Nikon compact camera to a Nikon DSLR and it wasn't long before producing images became enjoyable and rewarding. I enjoy going out visiting different places and events and taking photos, I love nature and animals which you'll see from my images, I've also recently caught "the church bug" from my friend and fellow member Frances and we enjoy exploring the beautiful churches and countryside in Northamptonshire and surrounding counties.
I joined the club in October 2015 after attending the recent exhibition at the Toller Meeting Rooms in Kettering, and look forward to gaining knowledge and tips from fellow members and judges along the way as well as entering my images into the competitions. In 2014 I studied City & Guilds Level 1 Photography at Tresham College and passed with distinction, I am looking to return to study Level 2 in the near future.
I use a Nikon D3100 camera in conjunction with a 18-270mm lens and macro lenses along with various other accessories, and for those times when I haven't got my Nikon with me I use my Samsung S4 smart phone, although nowadays that's not very often.
I love sharing my images with friends and other like minded people on Instagram where I have had some of them featured in various hubs, you can see my gallery and follow me there @bridgeadaire.
The group is very friendly and welcoming and there is always someone willing to give advice and guidance should you have any queries, if you love photography then this is the place for you.
